1st South Asian Short Film Festival (SASFF 2018)

The South Asian Short Film Festival started its journey back in 2018. The festival showcased over 100 shorts and documentaries from 5 countries from 31 March to 8 April, 2018 in Nandan, Kolkata. The award-winning films in the first edition were:

Ritwik Ghatak Silver Award for the 2nd Best Short Fiction (Cash, Citation and Trophy): Sudha Padmaja Francis for “Eye Test” (Malayalam/17M)
Ritwik Ghatak Golden Award for the Best Short Fiction (Cash, Citation and Trophy): Tarun Jain for “Mother” (Hindi/30M)

Jury Award: Bronze (Citation & Trophy): Biju Toppo for “The Hunt” (Hindi/28M)
Satyajit Ray Silver Award for the 2nd Best Documentary (Cash, Citation and Trophy): Subha Das Mollick for “Calcutta Sonata” (English, Bengali/57M)
Satyajit Ray Golden Award for the Best Documentary (Cash, Citation and Trophy): Bobo Khuraijam for Ima Sabitri (Manipuri/57M)
