5th SASFF 2022 Award List

5th South Asian Short Film Festival (3-6 Aug 2022) organized by the Federation of Film Societies of India (Eastern region) concluded successfully on 6th August 2022 evening at Nandan-the Film Center in Kolkata, showcasing 60 short fiction and documentary films. The Jury composed of Sudipto Acharyya, Kivini Shohe and Cherian Joseph declared the following Awards conferred by the Jury Chairman Sudipto Acharyya, eminent filmmaker Sekhar Das, Director of SRFTI Himansu Sekhar Khatua and Director of Chitrabani Father PeeJay Joseph:
- Satyajit Ray Golden Award for the Best Documentary: IF MEMORY SERVES ME RIGHT By Rafeeq Ellias
- Satyajit Ray Silver Award for the 2nd Best Documentary (Joint Winners): RIPPLES UNDER THE SKIN By Farha Khatun and MY SON AND HIS GRANDFATHER By Bijoy Chowdhury
- Satyajit Ray Bronze Award for the 3rd Best Documentary: PREMALATHA : A VIDEO PORTRAIT by Suranjay & Hiranmayee Dasgupta
- Ritwik Ghatak Golden Award for the Best Short Fiction: WAGRO by Sainath Uskaikar
- Ritwik Ghatak Silver Award for the 2nd Best Short Fiction: RAAVI By Jasmine Kaur Roy
- Ritwik Ghatak Bronze Award for the 3rd Best Short Fiction: SMILE PLEASE By Bakul Matiyani
- Mrinal Sen Golden Award for the Best Direction in Documentary: Farha Khatun for RIPPLES UNDER THE SKIN
- V Shantaram Golden Award for the Best Direction in Short Fiction: Jasmine Kaur Roy for RAAVI
